Well race back to the office I did a few days ago, having been invited to find a buyer for ‘Coombe Water’, a hidden gem of a home tucked away in its own verdant valley on the fringe of the proud parish of West Monkton.

COOMBE WATER – The owners’ view
To own a house so secluded that even some of the locals don’t know it’s there, in a hamlet only 15 minutes from the centre of a county town, is unusual. Place that house in the middle of eight acres such that it looks out over its own land with views in every direction (and yet is overlooked by no one) is more unusual still.

With this privacy comes the freedom of knowing that the house and its views can never be encroached upon by an ever-expanding urban population. Yet neighbours are also nearby in this friendly hamlet which enjoys easy access to the A38 and is only 10 minutes from J24 of the M5.
